HOW: PREPARATION FOR Communion at Home
We do what we can with what we have in the season we have.
The essential items are:
- Wine (either red or white) or Grape Juice- Bread (or crackers or tortillas)
If interested in pre-packaged communion cups please check with your life group leader or the church office.
If you’re interested, you can make your own unleavened bread for Communion. Check out the video and recipe below! You're not required to use unleavened bread in Communion, but this could be a great family activity.
Unleavened Bread Recipe:Ingredients:1 cup all-purpose flour1/3 cup vegetable oil1/8 teaspoon salt1/3 cup waterDirections:Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.Mix flour, oil, and salt together in a bowl; add water and mix using a pastry cutter until the dough is soft. Form dough into 6 balls and press into disks onto the prepared baking sheet using your hands.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
